Who am I anyway?

Originally from Connecticut, I began acting in grade school when Sister Beverly terrified me into auditioning for the fifth grade musical, Tom Sawyer.  After winning the part of Aunt Polly and shocking the heck out of my parents that their shy daughter seemed to display no stage fright and actually had a big voice, I filled my high school and college days with everything theater.  Then upon graduation I gave it all up to pursue a sensible career in advertising.

After an interesting decade plus, successfully climbing the corporate ladder at NYC ad agencies and working on many diverse projects (perhaps most notably introducing the world to Blue M&Ms), I gave up that "sensible" career for life on the wicked stage when I was cast as a Pick-a-Little Lady in the first national tour of the Broadway revival of The Music Man. That was followed by the North American tour of Grease as Miss Lynch with the legendary, and awesome Frankie Avalon.  Favorite theatre roles have included Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Kate Macauley in The Human Comedy and Bananas in The House of Blue Leaves.  I have also appeared on-screen in independent films and television.  And my voice can be heard in commercials and narration projects. I play a lot of mothers and am a great shrink too (on and off stage).  I can also be accused of occasionally bringing decadent baked goods to rehearsals.

I currently live in New York City, though I sometimes pretend that I live in the country when I ride my bike along the Hudson and grow tomatoes and green beans on the roof.  I have two siblings: my wonderfully talented and handsome actor brother, Al Bundonis.  You can check him out at albundonis.com.  And my gorgeous and smart sister, Andrea Glimcher, the "white sheep of the family" as we call her, is a star in the art world!

I studied psychology and theatre Georgetown University, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree. Then at Emerson College I earned my Master’s Degree in Marketing Communications.  I stay involved with my high school alma mater Canterbury School as Vice President of their Society of Alumni.  I love mentoring any of my fellow alums!
